A noble gesture to be sure, but remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

The Marysville School District is getting a federal grant to help pay staffing costs from last fall’s tragic shooting.

Fifteen-year-old Jaylen Fryberg shot and killed four friends and wounded another last October after inviting them to lunch in the cafeteria at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. He also killed himself.
