In school shooting, quick thinking prevents tragedy

Imagine that you’re sitting in the lobby of a building and you’re waiting for a class to start. You’re checking your Twitter feed, hoping to find something funny or useful, but instead you come back to reality, only to look up and see a gunman. Then, as he’s reloading to shoot, an unlikely hero subdues him with pepper spray.A similar situation happened at Seattle Pacific University on Thursday when a gunman walked into a campus hall and allegedly killed one student and wounded two others, before being subdued by student John Meis.

  1. It just shows how someone prepared with some kind of defense tool/weapon can make such a difference and save lives. If he could have been armed with a firearm he may very well have saved even more lives.
