Backpacks banned from Atlanta high school after shooting

Students at an Atlanta High school faced tough security measures Wednesday — including a ban on backpacks and book — after a teenager opened fire near campus, injuring five people, including four students.

Marcellus Brooks, 17, has been charged as an adult with five counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony in connection with the shooting Tuesday outside Therrell High School. Last month, he was  charged with robbery in a criminal case, according to court records.
